Meet Grupo Monitor

Oxnard’s own.

Grupo Monitor performing live outdoors, with keyboardist, guitarist, and vocalistOur first Palomazo hosted by Pipiripau
Heritage Square - Oxnard, CA

A teacher, a business owner, and a military girl walk onto a stage. Sounds like the start of a joke, but for us, it’s Grupo Monitor.

Our name Monitor comes from the speaker facing the band that helps us hear and feel the music together. To us, it’s about connection: listening to each other and sharing something we love.

For a decade in the 805, we’ve kept the songs we grew up with alive, the ones our parents played, and the ones that still bring us together. Hearing you sing along, share a dance, or make a new memory is why we love doing this.

While some of us may be more introverted (mainly our singer 😂), the stage is where we feel most comfortable. There’s a little magic in letting ourselves be seen: being vulnerable, creating together, and sharing the most authentic parts of who we are. In those moments, we feel at home, and we hope you feel that warmth, too.

We cover Ventura County, Santa Barbara, and northern LA County. For events beyond those areas, send a request and we’ll see if it’s a good fit.

What music do you play?

Primarily Latin music, plus English favorites, old-school classics, and Top Hits. We tailor the set to your event and can prepare a special song with advance notice.

Does requesting a date confirm a booking?

A request starts the conversation. We’ll discuss availability, event details, and pricing with you before confirming your booking.

Can we choose the music and request a special song?

Yes. We tailor the set to your guests and the atmosphere you want. Share your special song ahead of time so we can confirm we can prepare it.
